Our Team

Jesus is a molecular biologist passionate about cell engineering and multiomics. Jesus's passion for synthetic biology grew while working with Prof. John Ward in University College London during his master's degree. He then moved to Prof Julian Marchesi's lab for his PhD at Imperial College London where he explored the human gut microbiome applying multiomic analyses. He joins the Hernandez-Lopez lab to rewire T cell functions and to push forward the unlimited potential of synthetic biology.

In his spare time, Jesus enjoys hikes that end with a great meal and going to classical music concerts.
