Our Team

I grew up in Spain in a family with Dutch and Italian roots. I later moved to the Netherlands to pursue both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Biotechnology at Wageningen University & Research. During this time I researched the microbiome's role in colorectal cancer through bioinformatics. Additionally, I participated in the synthetic biology iGEM competition, where our team focused on mitigating fruit crop losses due to climate change. My specific contribution involved designing and implementing novel genetic circuits.

I did an internship at Cell Design Institute (Lim Lab) in San Francisco, where I fell in love with immune cell engineering. This passion ultimately led me back to the Bay Area two years later. Outside of university, I enjoy surrounding myself with nature while running and biking (looking for a road bike). I’m also trying to improve my cooking skills and read books from all sorts.
